Samsung Quietly Removed the Ivory Filter From the Galaxy S25 Camera

A story by Necrolicious on .

I went to Samsung’s Galaxy Experience Popup in Shibuya to get a little hands-on time with the S25.

I was very disappointed to discover that Samsung has sunset the goth-favourite camera filter, Ivory, with this model (after I got home, a quick web search confirmed its removal).

To the uninitiated, Samsung cameras have a ability to download tons of extra filters in addition to the default ones, but when I did a search for it, Ivory was still nowhere to be found.

The S25 has a new nifty ability to quickly create custom filters based on old/imported images but even after quicksharing some Ivory filter pictures from my Flip 6 to the demo S25 & playing around with them for 10ish minutes the staff & I were unable to replicate the exact hues of Ivory on the S25.

While I wasn’t particularly planning on buying an S25, this does not bode well for the forthcoming Flip 7, which I DO intend to buy.

Samsung, if you’re reading this, please bring back the Ivory filter to the default camera or otherwise make it available for download before the Flip 7 launches!

A story by Necrolicious on .

Nintendo Switch 2 Reveal: A Date Mix-Up & a Closer Look at Affordability

A story by Necrolicious on .

Originally, some had mistaken the date, expecting the event to have occurred on February 4th (02/04/2025) before its actual scheduled time (04/02/2025). This mix-up highlights the anticipation surrounding Nintendo’s next big reveal, which Nintendo has clarified as officially set for April 2, 2025, at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET.

Nintendo Direct Event Set for April 2, 2025

The Nintendo Direct event promises to delve into the much-awaited Nintendo Switch 2, a console that has stirred significant interest within the gaming community. Nintendo has strategically positioned this event to not only showcase the hardware but also to address one of the most pressing concerns for potential buyers: affordability. With economic factors like inflation & currency exchange rates playing a pivotal role in consumer decisions, Nintendo’s President Furukawa has emphasized that the pricing strategy for the Switch 2 will prioritize customer affordability. Analysts speculate that the console might be priced between $400 & $500 USD, aiming to balance market expectations with accessibility.

Exclusive Games: Pokémon Legends Z-A & Metroid Prime 4 Beyond

Beyond the hardware, the event will focus on the software lineup, with exclusive games being a cornerstone of the Switch 2’s success strategy. Titles such as Pokémon Legends Z-A & Metroid Prime 4 Beyond have been highlighted as key to drawing in both new & returning fans. These exclusives are not just games; they represent Nintendo’s commitment to delivering unique experiences that leverage the capabilities of the new console, ensuring that the Switch 2 stands out in a competitive market.

Nintendo’s Dual Support Strategy for Switch & Switch 2

The anticipation for the Nintendo Switch 2 is not just about new technology but also about how Nintendo plans to continue supporting its ecosystem. The company has assured that the original Switch will still receive new game titles, mirroring strategies seen with other consoles like the PS4. This dual support strategy could mitigate the pressure on consumers to immediately upgrade, offering a transition period that respects affordability concerns. While, the Switch 2 is still a while away. If you just can’t wait or are excited to get Switch 1 games at a discount, you. can still buy the original Nintendo Switch using my affiliate links below.

A story by Necrolicious on .

Limp Bizkit Announces Netflix Devil May Cry Anime Release Date (Kind Of)

A story by Necrolicious on .

The cautiously anticipated western Devil May Cry “anime” series is set to premiere on Netflix on April 3rd. This news was revealed alongside a new teaser trailer, featuring the inimitable sounds of nu-metal poster-children Limp Bizkit, on X & Youtube.

Production Team and Story Details

Brought to life by the creative minds behind Castlevania, showrunner Adi Shankar, and animated by the renowned Studio Mir (known for The Legend of Korra, X-Men ’97), the new Devil May Cry anime promises an action-packed experience. The first season will consist of eight episodes, though time will tell if it’s decent or just the latest serving of goyslop from the politically correct dumpster-fire that Netflix has become known for.

While plot details are still under wraps, the series appears to focus on Dante during the timeline of the first three Devil May Cry games, rather than Devil May Cry 5. However, the extent of its connection to the games remains unconfirmed. Adding something to the excitement, Johnny Yong Bosch, the voice of Nero in the Devil May Cry video games, will be lending his voice to Dante in the anime adaptation.

A Return to Form for Devil May Cry

The Devil May Cry franchise has seen a hiatus in recent years. The last game in the series, Devil May Cry 5, was released in all the way back in 2019 & marked a triumphant return to form after a period of relative quiet following DmC: Devil May Cry in 2013. Now, fans can anxiously look forward to a somewhat new & hopefully not woke chapter in the Devil May Cry universe with this upcoming Netflix anime.
